Questions
A purchase didn't arrive, or I reinstalled the game
On iPhone, iPad and Android, open the Shop and tap Restore Purchases to bring back packs and other one-time purchases. After a reinstall they also come back on their own once the Shop connects to the store. Coins and gems are saved on this device (and in its backup, if you use one); Restore Purchases can't bring them back.
If a purchase is waiting for approval (Ask to Buy) or for a payment to clear, nothing is unlocked yet. It arrives by itself when the payment goes through.
If the Shop says Store unavailable right now, try again later. Coins still work in the meantime.
Payments are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their own terms, and we never see your payment details. On Steam everything is included, so there is nothing to buy or restore.
Where is my progress saved?
DIGS saves your progress, designers and gallery automatically on your device. There is no DIGS account and no copy on our servers, so we can't recover or move progress for you.
- iPhone, iPad and Android: your progress is included in your device's own backup, if you use one.
- Steam: Steam Cloud keeps your save and gallery with your Steam account across your computers.
If the save file ever can't be read, DIGS starts a new career and keeps a copy of the old file beside it, named digs_save.json.corrupt- followed by the date. On Steam it's in the Sandstone/DIGS folder named under "How do I delete my data?"; we can't promise to repair it, but you're welcome to send it with your email.
Settings → Reset progress starts the studio from scratch: stars, coins (including any you bought) and your gallery go back to zero, along with anything bought with coins. Packs, the creator and Home Studio bought in the store stay yours, and so do your gems and atelier items. There's no undo.
How do I turn reminders on or off?
On iPhone, iPad and Android, DIGS can send at most one reminder a day, about the day's new client (and on Mondays, the week's challenge). It's off unless you turn it on, in the game under Settings → Reminders → Daily client reminder. Turning it off there, or in your device's notification settings for DIGS, stops it.
The reminder is scheduled on your device. Nothing about it is sent to us or anyone else.
How do I delete my data?
- Leaderboards: Settings → Delete my leaderboard data, or turn off Show me on leaderboards. Your studio comes off every board and its anonymous leaderboard account is deleted. If you're offline, the game tries again each time it starts until it's done.
- Purchase data held by Unity: email us and we'll pass your request to Unity, which runs the purchase service.
- Everything on your device: delete the app. On Steam, also delete the
Sandstone/DIGSfolder (Windows:AppData\LocalLow; Mac:~/Library/Application Support).
The full details are in the privacy policy.
Which platforms is DIGS on?
iPhone and iPad (App Store), Android (Google Play), and Windows and Mac (Steam).
Progress stays with the device or platform where you play; it doesn't move between platforms. Purchases belong to the store you made them in, and Restore Purchases works with that store.
